Summary

This resource is aimed at aiding the student transition into a higher education experience, specifically with reference to developing key research skills. Materials here include a detailed guidance document along with a quick guide which provides a visual model of a research based induction programme along with key principles. In addition there is a `health check’ that practitioners can use to reflect upon their current induction provision. The materials are primarily aimed at individual course leaders / practitioners who wish to revitalise their induction programmes but may also be used in institution wide initiatives.
