Summary

This guidance note sets out some of the main components of the current national Quality Assurance processes and provides examples from colleges who have successfully engaged with previous audit exercises. It deals specifically with the central importance of scholarship to a successful higher education experience for students, and demonstrates how the aims of the HEFCE Scholarship Project link with the expectations of provider review, the Teaching excellence Framework, and achieving degree-awarding powers.
